Q. Hello Mancfetfair. Thank you for doing this interview. So could you let our readers know what The Mancunian Fetish Fair is all about?
A. We are a community focused, sex positive event. We aim to create a welcoming space for kinksters that celebrates unique, hand-made and bespoke items that reflect the diversity of our scene.
Q. How and why did you come up with The Mancunian Fetish Fair?
A. The late Victoria Blisse an award-winning erotica author(known as V by her friends and loved ones). She ran a market known as Smut Market it was a wonderful, fun and fantastic part of the Manchester scene. It was as vibrant and saucy as Victoria herself. We can not take the credit because without Smut Market, without V, there would be no MancFetFair. After V passed, many of, her friends and fellow creatives, wanted to honour her legacy. Carrying on the market felt like the right thing to do. We shaped it into something new, with our own flavour and energy, but always with V’s spirit in mind. She was someone who always lifted others up, and we like to think she would be proud of what we are building.
Q. For people reading this are thinking of coming for the first time what can they expect?
A. To be welcomed! You will find a friendly, inclusive atmosphere where you can browse and buy lots of awesome, pretty, and unique things, and most importantly, have fun. Whether you are a seasoned kinkster or just curious, there is no pressure, just good vibes, great people, and a safe space to explore and enjoy.
Q. What type of stalls will be there on the day?
A. We have got an incredible mix of traders showcasing everything from handcrafted accessories and alternative fashion to impact gear, sensory delights, and intimate lifestyle items. Our makers work with all sorts of materials—leather, latex, metal, wood, resin, and more—to create unique, high-quality pieces that celebrate self-expression, pleasure, and kink in all its forms.
Q. There will also be an afterparty. What will this involve, and how can people get tickets?
A. After the market winds down, the fun continues at our afterparty which starts at 7:00. It is a relaxed, intimate evening for folks to connect, unwind, and enjoy the social side of the scene. Expect good vibes, great company, and the chance to mingle with fellow kinksters in a safe, welcoming space—with a small play area available for those who wish to explore. As always, consent and mutual respect are absolutely essential.
Tickets can be bought for £10 at the market during the day or on the door (subject to availability) but be aware, space is limited. Grab your ticket early if you would like to join us!
