London Fetish Film Festival

London Fetish Film Festival

London Fetish Film Festival (LFFF) is an annual event built on freedom of expression, welcoming submissions for curatorial selection through international open call.

Q. Hello London Fetish Film Festival. Thank you for doing this interview. So could you let our readers know what London Fetish Film Festival is all about?

A. London Fetish Film Festival is the UK’s only dedicated celebration of fetish on screen - now in its sixth year, louder, prouder, and kinkier than ever. At its heart, LFFF is about freedom of expression and queer resistance: creating a space where cinema and kink collide, and where desire can be explored without shame.

We are a queer-led team of women and non-binary creatives - ranging from videographers, photographers, and production designers to pro dommes, performance artists, and intimacy coordinators - bringing a unique mix of skills, passions, and lived experiences to the curation of the festival. That is what gives LFFF its edge. Our team actively seeks films throughout the year, hand-picking the best of the best just for you! We also have our international open call active with FilmFreeway, so if you wish to submit to us for 2025… in more ways than one… there is still time here !

We are  hungry for films that bite - works that seduce, shock, provoke, and linger. From latex dreams to quiet obsessions, twisted rituals to sexy absurdities, we want to see the strange, the sensual, the psychological, and the deliciously perverse corners of fetish culture brought to life.

We welcome everything: drama, documentary, satire, animation, arthouse, music video, performance. Tender or terrifying, explicit or suggestive - what matters is that the work subverts shame, celebrates erotic freedom, and empowers us as a diverse, unapologetic community of perverts.

For us, fetish is a lifestyle, an art form, and a protest. And at LFFF, we invite audiences to revel in the full spectrum of paraphilias, darkest delights, and softest devotions.

Q. When and how did you come up with this festival?

A. The London Fetish Film Festival was born in 2019 out of founder Venus Raven’s twin obsessions - a fetish for film and a kink for BDSM. An intoxicating collision, a creative marriage of lust and vision, is what birthed LFFF! Raven wanted to create a dedicated platform that gave space to the most twisted and depraved beyond fantasy, realising it on screen with intense cinematic quality.

Q. For people coming for the first time, what can they expect during the festival?

A. For first-timers, expect to be seduced by the unexpected - the imaginative, the absurd, the beautiful, and the unapologetically filthy. The festival is a sanctuary: a judgment-free zone where kink, cinema, and desire collide. It is a space curated by and for our gorgeous fetish community.

You are encounter films that arouse, provoke, inspire, and linger under your skin long after the credits roll. Add to that intimate Q&As, charged conversations, and a few delicious surprises we will not spoil here, you will have to follow us @londonfetishfilmfestival_ to discover more.

Q. Can you let our readers know some of the fetish films that will be shown?

A. We will be announcing our curatorial lineup in the lead-up to the festival this November/December, so until then our mouths are tightly gagged and our hands bound from letting anything slip. What we can tease with are the delicious categories you can expect: the imaginatively twisted Kink Art section; our ever-popular Documentary Spotlight; Fun Fetish, bringing unexpected delights and sexy comedy; Kink Animation and Kink Narrative, showcasing a mix of micros, shorts, and mid-length films; and our personal favourite, Inside Fetish - an intimate look into the most extreme sessions. And, of course, the festival wouldn’t be complete without our handpicked feature film to tie it all together.

Q. As this is the sixth year of programming, how would you say it has changed, and what are some of the challenges you have had over the years?

A. This being our sixth year, the festival has only deepened in richness and diversity. Kink, fetish, and BDSM are such beautifully expansive worlds - full of distinct fixations, intersectional communities, and psychologies - that the true curatorial challenge is weaving a filmic journey that offers something for everyone. That is exactly what excites us about LFFF: we will never have “seen it all.” Every year brings new voices, new visions, and new ways of looking at desire - and that is why we are still here in year six, with many more to come.

The challenges we have faced have almost always been tied to censorship. As a festival rooted in freedom of expression and queer liberation, we inevitably confront systems that would prefer to silence or erase us. But those struggles only affirm why we do this work: to carve out space where erotic imagination, queer stories, and radical visibility can thrive without apology and with sexual freedom - and where the multi-faceted realm of fetish can remain a fluid exploration of human nature.

Q. What do you hope people will come away from London Fetish Film Festival feeling and understanding?

A. What we hope people take away from the London Fetish Film Festival is that fetish is a life force, not a box to be put in. It can be funny, hardcore, beautiful, twisted, empowering. Sometimes it’s deeply sexual, sometimes it is not at all. It is ritual, it is play, it is expression. Most importantly, it is for everyone. Fetish is strange, extraordinary, and profoundly human - and that is what makes it so powerful, especially when we can come together as a community to celebrate our nature!
