Kinkmart Pop-Up Market is a kink friendly pop up market set up by Pixels event taking place on Sunday 20th September at The Thompsons Arms in Manchester.
Q. Can you let our readers know what kinkmart pop-up market is all about?
A. KinkMart is a pop-up BDSM focused market held in Manchester’s Gay Village, bringing together crafters, artists and traders with a focus on kink, fetish, and BDSM themes. It’s a free, 18+ event that blends shopping with a relaxed social atmosphere, giving people a safe and welcoming space to explore, connect, and celebrate alternative lifestyles.
Q. When and how did you come up with the idea for the kinkmart pop-up market?
A. KinkMart was born from a conversation among friends at Pixels Events LTD about how we could bring something fresh to Manchester’s Gay Village. While other alternative markets already exist, we wanted to create something more niche by focusing specifically on BDSM subcultures, giving the community a dedicated space to connect, trade and socialise.
Q. For people coming for the first time to this event can you let them know what type of stalls you have at your market?
A. For anyone joining us for the first time, we recommend coming to KinkMart with an open mind and just being yourself and hopefully, they will be an item or two for you. The line-up of stalls changes each time, so the best way to know who’s trading is to check our website and social media for updates. That said, we do have a few regulars, such as Jeanne’s Cheeky Chocolates with their naughty nibbles, and Sclera Centipede who creates kinky and spooky-themed products. In the past, we also welcomed artists selling their work, makers of handcrafted impact play toys, crafters of unique Wax play candles and of course LiquidVybes, who is kindly doing this interview.
Q. What would you say your main aims are with your market?
A. Our main aim is to eventually take KinkMart to different areas each month, as part of our long-term vision. We want it to grow into a well-known and respected event within the BDSM scene, and we are also looking to collaborate with larger events to host exclusive KinkMart editions. We may be a young player in the industry, but we are certainly ambitious.
We want to create a welcoming space where people can also learn about other events and organisations through our community outreach tables. While this has not yet gained as much interest as we had hoped within Manchester’s Gay Village, we remain committed to working with the local community in any way we can.
Overall, we want KinkMart to be a calm, social, and above all safe space for everyone who attends. We are proud to welcome and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community across all our events, not just at KinkMart.
Q. Can you let our readers what you have planned for the rest of the year and 2026?
A. Our 2025 calendar is short and sweet, with two more KinkMart events in Manchester on 20th September and 15th November, plus Paws N Beats on 17th October. After that, our season winds down, but a lot is happening behind the scenes as we prepare for a bigger and better 2026, with improvements not just for KinkMart but for Pixels Events as a whole.
For KinkMart specifically, we will continue to run our Manchester event bi-monthly on the third Saturday at the Thompson Arms, which remains our home for now. Looking ahead, we are also exploring expansion into Leeds, with a goal of launching our first event there in February 2026, outreach has already begun, so watch this space. We could go on for ages sharing our plans, but we can not give away all our secrets now.
Pixels Events would like to thank LiquidVybes for the opportunity to share and discuss our event on their website and platform and we hope to see them trading with us more.
